Performances
The Singspiel premiered on September 11, 1790, at the Theater auf der Wieden under Henneberg’s direction. It was first recorded by the Boston Baroque in 1999.[2][6] Modern performances have been given in 2001 at the Hampstead & Highgate Festival, the Augsburg Opera, and Pepperdine University; in 2002 at the Bampton Classical Opera; in 2003 at the Combattimento Consort Amsterdam; in 2006 at the Astoria Music Festival, the Garsington Opera, and the Salzburg Haus für Mozart; in 2010 at the Zurich Opera House (at the Stadttheater Winterthur); and in 2018 at the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck.
